How many carbs are we allowed to consume on a daily basis? I'm 5'2 and I really let myself go :( I use to weigh 105 and now I weigh 130 :( I had a baby about 4 years ago and I gained 60 pounds during my pregnancy. I've lost about 40 of those pounds in 4 years but I'd still love to weigh 105 or 110. Any suggestions? I do exercise 3 days a week. I love jogging and cardio. I also changed the way I eat and what I eat. Does anyone have any info on sugar levels too? I hear they play a vital role in a persons weight.
Thanx in advance

Re: Carb Confused????? Please help
Sat, August 19, 2006 - 12:14 PMthe fda says our dialy intake of carbs should be around 200-300 grams.... but we all know they've been wrong before. From what little research I've done, it seems your brain needs about 100 grams a day, the fewer refined carbs, the better. -

Re: Carb Confused????? Please help
Sat, August 19, 2006 - 12:19 PMfor info on sugar levels, you may want to check out the GI index. Foods on the GI chart with a rate lower than 60 are supposed to more or less maintain your blood sugar levels, the higher the food's rateing above 60, the more likely it is to make you crash and burn.

Re: Carb Confused????? Please help
Fri, February 23, 2007 - 7:16 AMIts not so much carbs as what kind of carbs. The BEST thing you can first do is reduce..eliminate the white stuff..white sugar and ANYTHING made with it and white flour and ANYTHING made with it.
move to the veggies and fruits and very lean protein. Be glad to help more...let me know
